Before trying to sing while playing your guitar, you should follow the steps mentionned below. This way you will appreciate your instrument mush more and it will be easier for you to play, your favorites melodies.

TUNE YOUR GUITAR
The most important in learning to play guitar, is tuning it right. If your guitar is not well tuned, you will have difficulty singing along and finding the right note to accompany other’s in their singing too. So you can see how important it is to tune your guitar properly if you wish to play along with other guitar players, singers or bands.

PRACTICE FEW CHORDS
A chord is a group of notes of the same scale, made of the first, third and fifth note (perfect chord). These notes are played individualy or together on your instrument. For example the chord of C is make up  by using the notes C, E and G. Remember, to pratice chords you must have a certain beat (rythme) to your strumming of a melody.

TO ACCOMPANY IN STRUMMING
The technics consist by strumming the strings of your guitar, keeping a certain pace (beat). Each strum on each string of your guitar, will have to respect the tempo of the melody which you are performing. You can carry out your strumming by using your fingers on a classical guitar or with a pick on your electrique guitar.
